Immune Cell Killing Assays

Typical immune cell killing assays are labor-intensive and require users to collect multiple timepoints using a combination of techniques. In contrast, the label-free xCELLigence RTCA instruments provide a complete view of immune cell killing and closely mimics activity in vivo. Obtain highly sensitive, reproducible, and direct measurements of immune cell killing potency in real time. This simple and high throughput workflow also provides greater insight into cellular mechanism of action, serial killing, and exhaustion.

Viral Cytopathic Effect Assays

Advance your anti-viral therapy or vaccine development by accurately measuring viral cytopathic effects (CPE) in real time with Agilent xCELLigence RTCA instruments, without the use of labor-intensive plaque assays. Monitor viral CPE automatically, from minutes to days, and greatly reduce workload and manual handling of samples. Single Setup for Dual Measurements Live cell imaging and real-time biosensor measurements can be performed on the same cell populations, which provides insightful information on cell behavior. The streamlined workflow, high reproducibility, and quantitative kinetics of the eSight system makes it ideal for a wide range of cell-based assays such as proliferation, cytotoxicity, and apoptosis.The powerful RTCA software integrates two data types into one temporal display. Cell analysis can be displayed and exported into diverse formats, which include RTCA images, KT50 (time to reach 50% cytolysis at a given E:T ratio), % Cytolysis dose response, or IC50 dose response curves.
 
Multi-modal Data Acquisition In concert with the biosensor measurements, cell images can be captured in real-time, thereby providing a spatial and temporally dynamic view of cell populations, which can further validate time-dependent cell health and behavior at an unprecedented level of detail for any cell-based assay.
 
Patented Real Time Cell Analysis The impedance-based xCELLigence technology utilizes proprietary microplates (E-Plates) embedded with gold biosensors at the bottom of each well, which serve to non-invasively quantify cell behavior. Over the course of an experiment, the biosensors monitor cell metrics such as proliferation, adhesion strength, changes in morphology, migration, differentiation, and much more. The impedance measurements are exceptionally fast and provide exquisite temporal resolution so that all relevant responses can be measured in seconds, minutes, hours, or days.
The eSight offers a unique combination of the features of xCELLigence with live cell imaging. Even more information can be gathered from the live cell analysis when using impedance-based biosensors and image-based measurements together. Both quantitative and qualitative phenotypic information about cell health, behaviour, function and biology processes can be gathered through these combined technologies. The eSight images in 3 colours: red, green, and blue to provide powerful and informative images of cells.
