"Automated imaging with the Agilent Lionheart FX – WUR"

Testimonial of Wageningen University and Research (WUR)

Automated imaging with the Agilent Lionheart FX

The Host-Microbe Interactomics Group works at the heart of host-pathogen and host-microbiota research in health and disease. The group combines expertise in cell biology, immunology, microbiology, microbiome research, and functional genomics to further our understanding of the molecular interactions occurring in the cross-talk between microbes and their hosts including humans, animals and zebrafish.

They utilize the Lionheart FX for a range of cell biology and histology examples including qualitative and quantitative applications for cell lines and 2D and 3D organoid models.

“We like the fact that images can be rapidly captured across a large number of wells (12 minutes for 3×3 stitched brightfield image, 216 images)”

“Images can be taken at regular intervals with the same protocol to be compared over time”

The Z-stacking allows for sampling of multiple layers
